NEW YORK (AP) — Daredevil stuntman David Blaine lit up New York's Pier 54 on Friday for his latest high voltage feat.
The illusionist is scheduled to spend three days and nights standing in the middle of a million volts of electric currents streamed by tesla coils.
The stunt is called "Electrified: One Million Volts Always On."
"Electrified" also is being streamed on YouTube, thanks to computing company Intel. Viewing stations are located in London, Beijing, Tokyo and Sydney. Viewers at the stations are able to control the coils.
The 39-year-old Blaine is wearing a chain mail bodysuit as a barrier between himself and the electric currents.
Blaine's past stunts include hanging upside down over Central Park, being buried alive and encased in a block of ice.

American Idol Producers Insist Reports Of Mariah Carey & Nicki Minaj Feud Are 'Inaccurate'!

"American Idol" producers have spoken out regarding this week's reported drama and feuding between new judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.
"This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we've ever had," producers said in a statement released to Access Hollywood. "We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can't imagine a better group to find the next 'American Idol.'
"Despite all the accusations and media speculation -- much of which is inaccurate -- production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge," the statement concluded.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, a video surfaced online this week showing a heated blowout between Mariah and Nicki.
Mariah spoke to Barbara Walters about the incident and Barbara recounted their conversation on Thursday's "The View," saying "Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, 'If I had a gun I would shoot the b****.'"
Mariah also told Barbara that she has hired extra security and that Nicki has expressed love for her, but has yet to apologize.
Nicki hit back at Mariah in a flurry of Twitter posts, writing:
The struggle to be a victim is real in these streets. Lmaooooooooooo
Hey yAll. Lets just say nicki said smthn about a gun. ppl will believe it cuz she’s a black rapper. Lmao. I’ll then hit up Barbara n milk it
Ironically no camera or mic heard the gun comment tho. Lol @ the struggle. Not even the producers believed u. Say no to violence barbz.
Barbara walters didn’t reach out from our team barbz. I guess we’re too dangerous. Don’t shake if u don’t wannA get shook!!!! LmAooooooooooo
I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave.
Cuz i never said it!!!! RT @ItsMarthaBitch: Right! I never heard “ima knock you out” come out of Nickis mouth in that footage.
I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn
Tried to keep quiet but let’s go!!!!
I thought we resolved it yesterday but I see u want ur pity party to continue. So I’m bout to [post the] tea.
Nah. Dat tea is waaaayyyy too potent for the blogs right now. Lmaooooo. Ima keep it on COCK. Stale tea is the best t. Bwahahahahahaahhaaa
RT @NAZ_MINAJ: Trying to be the only female on the panel, how f-cking pathetic
All I do is compliment u. That’s not enuff? Ur a legend, cheer up. U don’t have to run down ur resume or feel intimidated. Shady McGrady…
Yesterday, after hitting up Access Hollywood Live where he expressed that the cat fights are diluting the American Idol brand, Nick Cannon tweeted out:
Quote of the day: “You can pay for school, but you can’t buy class” Jay Z
..And if you are wondering why Da Brat (a good friend of Mariah’s) is trending on twitter, she allegedly tweeted yesterday :
“I ALREADY HAD TO BUST ONE B!TCH OVER THE HEAD WITH A BOTTLE, AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN. DON’T F@CK WITH MY PEOPLES CAUSE I WILL F@CK WITH U EVEN HARDER. IT’S NOT A GAME AND I’M NOT A JOKE. B!TCHES GOT IT TWISTED AND I’M A UNTWIST SOME SH!T”
Da Brat later sent a tweet saying that she never tweeted such a thing and she has respect for both Nicki and Mariah but unfortunately Nicki’s ‘Barbz’ had already made her believe otherwise, so Nicki tweeted:
Sir, The struggle for u to even AFFORD that bottle is why the barbz r now cackling DOWNNNt. *Sips Pepsi* n *hops on this G4*
And later retracted that tweet with:
Oop sorry brat. Sh-t is real in the field. Pls accept my apology.
NOW WHAT I DONT RESPECT IS ALL OF THIS DAM DUMAZZ APOLOGIES ABOUT SUM TWEETS. THATS SUM PxxxY AZZ SHIZ 2 B ALL TOUGH ON TWITTER, THEN "TAKE THE TWEET BACK". GET SUM BALLZ OR GROW THE HELL UP/ PICK 1 OR 2 IT DOESNT MATTER! Cause 4 sum reason I was geeked 2 see the "Brat" going in, but then 2 recant her tweet & then Nicki did the samething, was a huge turn-off for me. Jus keepin it realz :)

CONGRATS TO WIZ KHALIFA & AMBER ROSE, THEIR PREGGO'S WITH A BABY GIRL!

Amber Rose is following in Beyonce's footsteps. The blonde bombshell has confirmed her pregnancy by gracing the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards red carpet and showcasing her baby bump. With her fiance Wiz Khalifa by her side, the rapper can now be congratulated on his new addition to the family.

Dressed in a floor-length lace gown, Rose was all smiles as she posed for photos. Last year, Beyonce announced her pregnancy by showing up on the 2011 MTV VMAs red carpet with a protruding belly. The R&B songstress definitely stole the show with the news.
