Jill Zarin, Alex McCord, Kelly Bensimon Officially Axed From 'Real Housewives'!

Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord, Jill Zarin

Reports last week of a casting bloodbath at 'The Real Housewives of New York City' have been confirmed.
A Bravo source told 'People' that Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop have all been axed. "Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan and LuAnn DeLesseps will be returning for season 5 of 'The Real Housewives of New York City.'"The source added, "We've had a fabulous run with all the ladies and appreciate them sharing their lives with our viewers. It is a friendly departure among the other ladies and we continue to have on-going discussions with them."Zarin and McCord initially denied the rumors that they hadn't been asked back for Season 5, but now McCord has told 'People' that "Simon and I are sad not to continue with RHONY but it's a friendly decision and discussions with Bravo are ongoing for other projects."
Fellow cast member Zarin may spill the beans about exactly what went down during the Season 5 negotiations. In a statement, her rep said she "looks forward to personally opening up about all of this very soon and announcing some exciting new projects."Could one of Zarin's exciting new projects be another branch of the 'Real Housewives' franchise? She and Ayda Fieldwere previously linked with a spin-off show set in London. The mass pink-slipping leaves just de Lesseps and Singer as the only original cast members on 'RHONY.' Sonja Morgan's a relative newbie, having joined in Season 3. Who will join them for lattes and bitching sessions in Season 5?
Stay tuned for updates.

WOW, IM SO SHOCKED BY THIS & THE ONLE 1 IM SAD ABOUT IS; ALEX & SIMON McCORD!

TEAM MONEY FOREVER, FLOYD KICKS AZZ AGAIN!

Not that anyone was expecting an apology, but Floyd Mayweather Jr. didn’t give one for the way he ended his world welterweight title victory over Victor Ortiz on Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

“What goes around, comes around,” Mayweather Jr. said in celebration of his fourth-round knockout. “You wanted a knockout, that’s what I gave you.”

Questions of sportsmanship, boxing ground rules and fairness were raised from the conclusion of the bout, which was set up by Ortiz delivering a vicious head butt to Mayweather’s mouth in the closing seconds of the fourth.

Referee Joe Cortez stopped the action, and quickly deducted a point from Ortiz, who had forced a close round after losing the first three on two of three judges’ scorecards.

Ortiz actually kissed Mayweather on the cheek after the cheap shot, and Mayweather fumed as he tasted blood from cuts inside his mouth.

Action had yet to resume, and Ortiz was still seeking forgiveness, asking for a hug when Mayweather had immediate revenge on his mind.

“You could see the anger on your face, like all the experience of your long career was being used to get this guy back,” a reporter said to Mayweather.

“Thank you,” Mayweather said, placing his hand on the questioner’s arm. “It was time to fight. What was he going to do? Hug me again? This guy who said I was a dirty fighter?”

So Mayweather watched Cortez closely, and even though Cortez’s gaze was directed elsewhere, Mayweather said boxing ethics are that once the combatants touch gloves, “It’s fight time. It’s open season.”

Did Ortiz hear “Box!” from Cortez? He said no.

What did Mayweather hear to convince him to fight again? “You don’t hear everything,” he said.

Yet, Mayweather smacked Ortiz with a left to the face.

“The ref said something, and I was like, ‘Huh?’ and then [Mayweather] caught me again, and I was like, ‘Whoa,’ and I woke up later,” Ortiz said.

He woke up following the count of 10 after Mayweather had flattened him with a second punch, a straight right to the jaw.

Boos rained down inside from the 14,000-plus inside arena, and even the crowd at Staples Center, where Saul “Canelo” Alvarez defended his world super-welterweight belt as part of the pay-per-view show, expressed outrage.

But Cortez concluded, “Time was in. Mayweather did nothing illegal.”

Ortiz asked for a rematch afterward, and said he didn’t lose “fair and square,” but he admitted his actions did officially re-start the fight.

“I figured it was sportsmanship,” Ortiz said. “I spaced a bit.”

Any chance you could get up?

“I was blank,” said Ortiz, 24, crediting his more experienced, unbeaten foe because, “he landed a good one.”

Ortiz’s manager, Rolando Arellano, said he will “critically review all the tapes, and make contentions if necessary.”

Ortiz trainer Danny Garcia contended that “Victor made a mistake as a result of Joe Cortez’s instructions. Mayweather took advantage of the situation. It was illegal, those punches. We’ll do everything we can to get a rematch.”

Mayweather (42-0, 26 KOs) said, “If he feels it was a fluke, I’ll do the same thing to him again. But he was slowly breaking down as each round went. He was going to go down anyway.”

IM SORRY, I REALLY DO LIKE VICTOR “VICTOUS” ORTIZ. HE SEEMS LIKE A GOOD-HEARTED KID THAT WILL MAKE ME A GREAT HUSBAND & FATHER IN THE FUTURE. BUT BOXING IS IN MAYWEATHERS HEART BUT A BETTER LIFE FOR ORTIZ. MAYWEATHER HAS BOXING FLOWING THROUGH HIS VEINS & ORTIZ WILL NEVER HAVE THE HEART, PASSION & DISCIPLINE LIKE MAYWEATHER DOES.THAT’S WHY HE IS 42-0 & THE BEST BOXER IN THE WORLD. BUT ORTIZ IS SUCH A GOOD GUY BUT HE WAS SCARED OF FLOYD & EVEN WHEN HE TRIED TO SHIT TALK FLOYD, HE WASN’T FOOLING NOBODY. MONEY TEAM TIL I D-I-E BEOTCHES!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY WINHOUSE!

Celebrate What Would’ve Been Amy Winehouse’s 28th Birthday By Watching “Body And Soul,” Her Duet With Tony Bennett

Today would’ve been Amy Winehouse‘s 28th birthday. Alas, it wasn’t to be; Winehouse passed back on July 23of as yet undetermined causes, but her musical legacy will always live on.

At last month’s 2011 Video Music Awards, Tony Bennett introduced Bruno Mars‘ outstanding tribute to Winehouse by sharing a short clip of himself and Winehouse in the studio cutting a cover of the jazz standard “Body And Soul.” As of now, it’s one of the last pieces of recorded music that Winehouse contributed to before her tragic and untimely passing, although if the rumors hold up, there may be more Winehouse cuts on the way someday soon.

Aside from being a very pleasant rendition of the song, the thing that strikes us the most about this video is seeing Amy Winehouse in the habitat where she always felt the most comfortable — the studio. Most of the memories that we have of the last few years of her life are paparazzi shots of her strung out on the streets of London, wasting away before our very eyes. This video, in which Winehouse looks both healthy and happy, stands in stark contrast those tabloid images. Sure, she appears a bit fidgety at times, but we attribute that behavior not to drugs, but rather to her uniquely personal method of channeling the ghosts of great jazz singers past, like Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holliday (both of whom not-so-coincidentally recorded versions of “Body And Soul”). We’ll also admit it breaks our heart more than a little bit to watch the way that she coyly batted her mascara-laden eyelashes at the inimitable Bennett, knowing that we’ll never get to see her do that again.

“Body And Soul” can be found on Tony Bennett’s upcoming album, Duets II, which will be available in stores next week. If you can’t wait that long, you can head to the iTunes store and pick it up this duet today; all proceeds will benefit the recently created Amy Winehouse Foundation.
