Nick Cannon is recuperating after suffering a “mild kidney failure,” the 31-year-old’s wife Mariah Carey announced on TWITTER today. Mariah uploaded a photo of herself with hubby Nick from inside his Aspen, Colorado hospital room.
“We’re trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful,” she wrote on her official website, adding that doctors tried — and failed — to remove her from Cannon’s room.“We’re doing OK but we’re stranded in Aspen,” Carey added. “I know, we could be in a lot worse places, but the truth is as long as we’re together, we’re OK.”I’m not trying to make light out of the situation because it’s a serious moment that’s very tough on all of us,” Carey, mother to twins Moroccan and Monroe, wrote. “So please keep us and our family in your prayers.”
OH MY GOODNESS, I PRAY THAT NICK CANNON GET BACK WELL VERY SOON, AND I NEVER HEARD OF A MILD KIDNEY FAILURE, BUT YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY . NEVERTHELESS THIS ILLNESS IS VERY SERIOUS AND IM WORRIED FOR HIM BECAUSE HE’S SO SO YOUNG & LETS PRAY NICK CANNON DOESN’T HAVE TO NEED 1 OR 2 KIDNEY TRANSPANTS. BUT BY HIM BEING RICH TRUST AND BELIEVE THAT HE’LL BE AT THE TOP OF THAT DONOR LIST, CAUSE MONEY TALKS…..A LOT. I PRAY FOR THEIR FAMILY. GET BETTER SOON NICK FROM KOSSIPERS AND I.
UPDATE-Nick Cannon continue to receive support from his friends and family as he makes his transition from an Aspen hospital to a Los Angeles hospital following his scare with kidney failure.
Nick tweeted the update yesterday:
“Currently being transferred to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me… I will be aight,” Nick tweeted just before the move.
As previously reported, Nick was vacationing in Aspen with with his wife Mariah Carey and their twins Monroe and Moroccan when he was hospitalized with what his Mariah Carey called ‘mild kidney failure’. Unfortunately the situation doesn’t appear to permit him to go home just yet as he is now stationed in an LA Hospital.Luckily Cannon’s fans have sprung into action sending the fallen star well wishes and prayers via twitter.Russell Simmons tweeted: “Praying for my man Nick Cannon and Mariah.”Fellow America’s Got Talent host Howie Mandel wrote: “Get well soon buddy.”Even co host Sharon Osbourne sent the following light hearted tweet: “He is such a naughty, gorgeous boy. He’s going to be fine. He’s young and strong.”Mariah later informed People Magazine that although Nick is in stable condition, he is in a lot of pain but he still remains positive as they all hope for a full recovery.“As always, he’s in good spirits considering the situation. We are hopeful that he’ll be 100 percent as soon as possible. We really appreciate everybody’s love and support.”According to the LA Times and information from the Mayo Clinic, acute kidney failure can stem from a variety of things including symptoms of an illness, dehydration, or even taking excessive over the counter medication such as Motrin or Advil.Whatever the case may be we hope doctors find the source of the problem quickly so Nick Cannon can begin his healing process and return to entertaining the fans he loves so much.
