Following his split from popstar Katy Perry, Russell Brand admits that he's doing "quite well." While promoting his new FX show, "Strangely Uplifting," the British comedian and actor told reporters (via People) in Pasadena that in spite of recent events, he's on the mend -- but his answer to their questions of well-being didn't come without his signature quirk.
"Are you asking because of recent events?," he asked. "You are making the mistake of seeing time as linear. The brilliant American author Kurt Vonnegut, he'll tell you that if you imagine reality as experienced simultaneously, events become redundant."
Brand and Perry filed for divorce on Dec. 30, 2011, citing irreconcilable differences. Rumors that there may be trouble in paradise first came to light when the pair spent the Christmas holiday apart -- and ringless.
Although the couple, who called one another husband and wife for just over a year, is no doubt still recovering from their recent breakup, when asked if he was happy, Brand replied, "Yes, I am."
Since announcing their spilt, Brand has moved out of the pair's Hollywood Hills home into his new Los Angeles bachelor pad.
