Nicki Minaj Subtweets Mariah Carey, Calls Her “INSECURE” And “Bitter”
It’s no secret by now that American Idol judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey have very little, if any, love for each other. The two started beefing as soon as cameras got rolling on Idol back in October, with Minaj threatening to “knock” Mariah out. It got so heated that Obama was brought in to broker peace between the two divas. All these weeks later, as Idol is about to wrap its lowest rated season in history, Minaj is dropping gloves again and launching shady subtweet bombs against Mimi on Twitter.
All this after Nicki broke out the Q-Tips on last night’s Idol? Damn! So far, no response from Mariah, who appears to be taking the high road in this squabble.
We don’t want to take sides in this brouhaha because we got nothin’ but love for both of these talented ladies, so we’re just going to paraphrase what Queen Latifah had to say on the Minaj/Mariah shenanigans last October: “You gotta respect your elders.” Mimi has been in the game for over 20 years at this point, managing to stay relevant the whole time, and that’s just something that you have to respect, no matter how many Hot 100 appearances you’ve made in the last few years. That said, where do y’all stand these days?
I agree with: Queen Latifah, eventhough yall know i rocks w/my gurl Nicki when it comes to this music game. But I wish that the Nikster would stay quiet & she will WIN the fight just how she did against Lil Kim. I mean Nicki stayed to herself until she was pushed to her limit, but at the end of the day Lil Kims jealousy showed through & Nicki didnt have to do shit because "Whats done in the dark, eventually comes to the light". But Nicki is being disrespectful to a Legend & Nick can say all day long until the cows come home that Mariah is the 1 thats; jealous, insecure, threatened by her. But all that finger pointing is coming back around to make the Nikster look like all those things. Sometimes we have to stay quiet when we know that we have envious ones coming after us, cause at the end of the day Nicki Minaj is showing her cards & hun-tie Mrs. Mariah Carey has been in the game to long to show hers. And Im sorry but Mariah Carey was one of the 1st peeps/artist that helped Nicki Minaj crawl up out of the underground circuit by throwing Nicki on that "Up Out My Face", which was a smash hit for them both. If Nicki keep going at the pace she's going peeps in the industry aint gonna wanna f w/her moretheless work w/her mean azz, the pace she going she aint gonna get to be a dam legend like Mariah. I was just taught to respect my elders, and any opportunity to be in the presence def almost everyday to take advantage of that, dummie.And instead of wasting dam time on arguing with a Legend, I would be asking & learning as much "Jews" as I could from that Legend named Mariah Carey.
