Yesterday, Necole Bitchie posted what seemed like an unsubstantiated report suggesting Basketball Wives‘ Gloria Govan and her fiancé, Orlando Magic forward Matt Barnes, had called off their wedding (planned for later this month). No sources were named and the anonymous ones cited — groomsmen — supposedly received the news via text. That info is far removed from its alleged first-hand source, but developments today suggest there may be some truth to it. We reached out to Gloria for a comment and have so far heard nothing, and Matt has remained uncharacteristically mum on his Twitter (Necole Bitchie quotes him as requesting that the media “Please respect my privacy,” but the source of that quote is, again, unclear).

Gloria told us in June that if she does appear in the second season of Basketball Wives, “it will be for the wedding which is max one or two episodes.” She had announced that her wedding date would be August 21, but could it be that we have to wait till the show returns in the fall to air to find out exactly what’s going on?
