DRAKE FINALLY BREAKS SILENCE ON "MARVIN'S ROOM" LAWSUIT, "THERE'S A MIDDLE FINGER FOR HER EVERY NIGHT" [VIDEO]

Young Money's Drake has finally broken his silence on a publicized "Marvin's Room" lawsuit filed by an alleged ex-girlfriend and said he has handled the matter in a professional manner up to recently.
"It's more probably surprising, just out of nowhere 'cause I felt like I dealt with it so cordially. I'm a straight shooter when it comes to music. I think it's pretty established that I write my own songs, I think I've had too many hits in my career to ever debate whether I'm doing them or not. So when somebody tries to step in and take credit for something that's not rightfully theirs, it pains me a little bit but you know at the same time I understand it a little bit. It's one of those things where you have people around you like, 'That's the biggest song. Why don't you go [do something].' But I get it. There's a middle finger for her every night." Recently, Drake caught the attention of people like radio host Tim Westwood for reportedly tossing up the bird.
Although he tried to be a gentleman about the situation, his true feelings were hard to hide - especially considering what he'd been doing at his shows. Westwood let slip that on stage Drake was throwing his middle finger up at Lee. (Soul Culture)
Around mid-March, Drake took the legal approach in addressing her accusations.
Ericka Lee -- who provided the voice of the girl on voicemail for the song -- filed a lawsuit last month claiming Drake promised a co-writing credit and split of the profits on the hit song ... as well as claiming Drake sent her texts saying the song was "s**t without you." Drake filed his response last week, saying he never promised her a dime and that "she consented to the use of her voice in the song 'Marvin's Room' for no compensation." Drake also says the two never had a romantic relationship, as she claims, and he never threatened her over her complaints about getting paid for the song. A judge has yet to rule. (TMZ)Just last month, the rapper's camp stepped forward and addressed Lee's claim.
"This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct. Ericka Lee consented to the use of her voice in the song "Marvin's Room" prior to its release. Lee asked only for the credit she received as "Syren Lyric Muse," and she did not ask for any compensation," a spokesperson for the rapper told Pop & Hiss on Friday. "It was only after she retained a lawyer that there was a demand for payment. Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and he now looks forward to being vindicated in court." A source close to the performer also stressed the two were never engaged in a romantic relationship, despite her claims. (Los Angeles Times)
