DID OR DIDN'T SHE: BEYONCE LIP-SYNC AT THE PRESIDENTS 2ND INAUGURATION?

Not So Fast! The Marine Corps Band Isn’t So Sure Beyoncé Was Lip-Synching After All
Beyonce and Jay-Z Arrive at Obama's Inauguration

After ruining our belief that yesterday’s inauguration ceremony was picture perfect, from above-freezing weather to Al Roker‘s two successful sideline interviews, the U.K. crushed our dreams with reports that Beyoncé‘s version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was rehearsed, pre-recorded, and totally fake. Pause for a requisite “noOOOooo!”
Now, the Marine Corps Band–who originally fed the intel to the London Times–is back-tracking on its statements. According to the Associated Press, Capt. Gregory Wolf, another spokesman for the Marine Corps, claimed that because of lack of rehearsal time, a live rendition from Beyoncé and the band was deemed “ill advised.” Wolf went on to state that, “no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or pre-recorded.” To the left, to the left, spokeswoman who shall not be named.
The performance has since been analyzed, debates have commenced, and we even came around to accepting that our always-stunning gazelle occasionally gets scared before large, international stages–but definitely not as scared as Paul Ryan was to be standing behind her and her husband. Now, we don’t know what to believe. One thing we do feel fairly certain about is the Marine Corps Band’s spokeswoman likely wasn’t too keen about being visited by members of the Illuminati in the middle of the night, and thus damage control ensued.

There’s probably (unfortunately) more to come on this, because Lance Armstrong‘s confession has already been milked for its maximum episode output on OWN. Does anyone else haveanything to share? While you’re patiently waiting for what could be an official statement from the Carter family that gets turned into a HBO special or presidential pardon, let us know whether or not it matters if Beyoncé’s rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was lip-synched or live for once and for all.
