CANNOT WAIT: A SNEAK PEEK OF BRAVO'S NEW REALITY SHOW, "THE NEW ATLANTA"

The New Atlanta Cast SFTA

Bravo recently announced that they will be airing a new “reality” show called “The New Atlanta” this fall.
The network, which is seeking to capture a younger/hipper audience with the show,  reportedly plan to introduce a much “younger” set of Georgia residents with the launch of The New Atlanta, (previously called “Taking Atlanta”).
tna-s1-header-castThe new unscripted show is Bravo’s 5th series set in the southern capital of Atlanta and will feature 5 cast members… Alexandra Dilworth, Emily Lipman, Africa Miranda, Tribble Reese and Jevon “Vawn” Sims.
Bravo describes the new series as follows:
The series follows the next generation of the city’s trailblazing young professionals who are hungry to achieve their dreams and find love as they struggle to resolve heartbreaks from the past. Aggressive in both their professional and personal lives, each hopes to make their mark in the cutthroat industries of fashion, music, event planning and business while taking advantage of Atlanta’s hot social scene.
Their work-hard, play-hard attitudes give them each an edge over their peers, but their journeys are not without a few bumps, hurdles and heartache along the way.

Meet the cast of “The New Atlanta” PLUS sneak peek video below…
Jevon 'Vawn' Sims The New Atlanta StraightFromtheA

Jevon “Vawn” Sims

Vawn is very well known in Atlanta’s bustling music industry as the “Go-to-Guy” for artist development and discovering new raw talent, having previously worked with chart toppers such as Jagged Edge and the Dream.

Now writing a book promoting his theories on love and romance, this “bad boy” with “good boy” qualities talks about relationships like never before including his philosophy on falling into “respect” rather than into “love.”
Africa Miranda - The New Atlanta - StraightFromTheA
This Georgia native and devoted single dad’s tell-it-like-it-is attitude might rub some people the wrong way, but whether you love him or hate him, Vawn is a major fixture in Atlanta’s buzzing entertainment and social scene.

Africa Miranda

A triple threat — actress, singer and model — Africa Miranda is turning heads in Atlanta. Co-creator of the live concept show ‘The Lipstick Junkies’ and the face of several international hair campaigns, her sultry voice and lovely locks have put her front and center in Atlanta’s entertainment industry. She is also the creator of ‘The Hairnista Chronicles’, a tongue-in-cheek hair blog dedicated to having a fabulous head of hair. Africa has a passion for vintage shopping, Diana Ross, and thinks that champagne and cupcakes are a perfectly acceptable diet.
Emily Lipman - The New Atlanta StraightFromTheA

Emily Lipman

Emily has the looks of the girl next door but is a force to be reckoned with both in business and on her hunt for love. A successful boutique owner, she has quickly become a new face in Atlanta’s growing fashion industry. Born and raised in Atlanta, Emily is just as comfortable at a Shabbat dinner as she is at a cowboy bar. Her passion for life also spills over into her dedication to giving back through her family’s Cystic Fibrosis Charity, Wish for Wendy.
Alexandra Dilworth The New Atlanta - StraightFromTheA

Alexandra Dilworth

A recent college grad, Alexandra is seen and heard in Atlanta’s hot Electronic Dance music scene. This self-proclaimed “daddy’s girl” hopes her future husband will be able to accommodate her current lifestyle and provide the luxuries she has grown accustomed to. In addition to attending Atlanta’s premiere charity functions, society galas, and cigar bars, Alexandra also dreams of one day owning her own clothing line.
Tribble Reese The New Atlanta StraightFromTheA

Tribble Reese

As a partner in an event and promotion company, Tribble always knows where the party is. An up-and-comer in Atlanta’s entertainment industry, this former arena football quarterback knows what it takes to score on the football field but is also looking for a touchdown in love. Armed with an MBA, this true Southern gentleman was born in Atlanta, raised in Alabama, schooled in South Carolina, and is now back making a name for himself where it all began.
Hmmmm… interesting mix of people.
The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Shari Levine, Bravo’s Media senior VP of current production, who spoke about their decision to cast these particular people, stating:
“Atlanta is a mecca. There is so much personality to that city and the people really reflect that.”
Levine says the casting process wasn’t that far off from the network’sReal Housewives franchise.
“You’re looking for similar qualities, people willing to be transparent with interesting lives, but we’re targeting a different age group and very different places in their lives,” she says. “Much of the cast is 10 years younger, they’re single, they’re active in their careers.”

The ‘younger’ set is something Bravo has been going after for a while now and Levine compares The New Atlanta to recent successes Vanderpump Rules andShahs of Sunset — both of them filmed in Los Angeles.
Bravo is now seeking to bring that same energy and success to Atlanta, a city which has already been responsible for a huge ratings boom for the network.
The New Atlanta, one of many new unscripted series making its way to Bravo this year, is set to introduce the six new camera-friendly strangers on  Sept. 17, at 10 p.m.

Will you be tuning in?

Drama and tension are never far away when you are young, hot, and live in Atlanta.

l'll b waitin 2 watch this show (eventhough, I really can't wait for another season of; "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" & a 2nd season of "Married to Medicine")
